Police officers on Thursday evening arrested eleven girls in posh Nyali Estate, Mombasa County for allegedly engaging in shooting pornography movies.
All the eleven girls are said to be Kenyan.
Two people, a man and woman believed to be in charge of the syndicate were also arrested.
The suspects were taken to Nyali Police Station and were expected to be arraigned in court this Friday.
During the arrest, the less-terrified girls were seen making their way from the posh house into the waiting police vehicle. Some few could cover up their faces to avoid the camera while others were even willing to talk to the press.
"We want to talk to the media please, (tunataka kuongea na media)," said one of the girls.
When the officers told them the media had come to cover their arrest and thus their story, they were appreciative, which might imply they have a lot to share.
Mombasa Police Commander Johnston Ipara told Nairobi News that sex toys were recovered from the house, which included vibrators and plastic manhoods.
“We also seized 15 laptops and 10 computers which we believe were being used in their indecent activities,” said Mr Ipara as quoted by Nairobi News
This is not the first pornography syndicate to be nabbed in Mombasa, and specifically in Nyali, the posh Estate in Mombasa.
Some years back, other girls were arrested for the same crime, which also involved a dog.
