Business mogul Manu Chandaria has finally officiated his marriage to his wife Aruna Chandaria after 64 years of like being together as husband and wife.

90-year-old Chandaria married his 84-year-old love at the Attorney General's chambers in Nairobi on Friday, in a civil marriage that cost Sh3,900.

The two, both born in Kenya, have been traditionally married before their return to India during the second world war, but meat again in 1952 in Kenya and rekindled their love.

During the officiating of their marriage, they could be seen kissing and smiling as their relatives watched, only weeks after Chandaria, in a TV interview, admitted that love fades.

However, Chandaria said that compromise is the key ingredient to keeping everything intact.

"64 (years) is a long time and the only thing is that how comes it has continued. It’s because of give and take from both sides and consideration for each other. Love drives off after a period of time, but consideration of each other always makes life a possibility. She (Aruna) is 85 and I am 90 but she has the last word” he said in an interview with the Standard.

However, what is likely to raise questions is why the famed billionaire who is ranked among the most successful and rich people in Kenya went for the cheapest option.
