Omondi recently thanked his fans after hitting 2 million followers on Instagram, which also ranked him among the most followed celebrities in East Africa.

"THANK YOU GUYS FOR TWO MILLION 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽 I AM WHO I AM BECAUSE OF YOU... GOD BLESS YOU...And please remember TANZANIA in your prayers. Ask God to have Mercy on them because Harambee Stars will not," Omondi captioned the video.

What is raising questions about this huge followers is the comedian missing on the top 20 Kenyan influencers list, with even DJ Shiti beating him.

A report shortlisting top Kenyan Influencers that was done between January to June  2019 has ranked singer Akothee as the most Influencer on Instagram. Madam Boss received the news with a thankful message to her fans.

She also mocked those celebs who make headlines with fake followers and fake likes.

"See Akothee see 💃💰💰💰👆👆 The highest Paid influencer MADAMBOSS no fake likes, no fake content no fake followers , ORGANIC LANES ONLY 🙋🙋🙋 mosna ngama oloya no 💪 Time is the judge , thanks my fans for keeping it true 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 Twitter is for the Elit sikusoma mie muniache 😂🤣😂," she posted.

The report said the mainstream music, gospel music, radio, socialites and comedy categories appear to have the highest percentage of fake activity in Kenya.

With Omondi's many day-to-day funny videos and huge followers on Instagram but cannot make it to top 20, it raises questions.
