Lawyer Nelson Havi has now asked President Uhuru Kenyatta to fire Rotich and his Principal Secretary (PS) Kamau Thugge over their alleged role in the loss of funds in the Arror and Kimwarer dams project.

In a tweet on Tuesday, Havi said the President should not expect the magistrate to order for the suspension of the duo over abuse of office and corruption-related charges.

He noted that it will take the initiative of the president to send the two home, if he really means what he says as far as the fight to end graft is concerned.

“President Uhuru Kenyatta should be bold enough to do the clean and dirty work by himself. Let him fire just as he hired Rotich and Thugge. He cannot leave it to a Magistrate to fire or suspend a CS and PS charged in Court through orders barring them from going back to work. ^DoS,” he tweeted.

Rotich and Thugge were released on a Sh50 million bond with surety of the same amount, or a cash bail of Sh15 million each.

The release came after they denied the charges leveled against them by the office of the DPP.
