This is after Arunga admitted lying about what transpired moments before he was pronounced dead.

On Monday, the former TV queen pleaded guilty of being associated with the son’s mysterious death.

Arunga, who was a household name in the media industry before she resigned and travelled to Australia with her husband Quincy Timberlake, admitted that she decided to lie to the court with the aim of protecting her man.

Timberlake is facing murder charges following the unexplainable death of his three-year-old son Sinclair Timberlake in their family home in Kallangur, Australia in 2014.

According to the Crown Prosecutor Danny Boyle, which is an Australian Associated Press, Arunga's son died due to blunt force trauma to the abdomen.

Arunga had told the police the boy fell before his death. However, an autopsy report showed that the child was hit by some force, which was not consistent with the argument she had presented when quizzed over the circumstances behind his demise.

She confessed that she was not ready to see her husband in jail. The journalist also alluded that the man was sick during the time the son died.

“I was terrified of being alone and I felt terrible because my husband was sick as well,” Arunga said, as quoted by Daily Nation.

Defence lawyer Katarina Prskalo told the court that Timberlake had mental related issues.
