The new development comes after he took over office from Governor Ferdinand Waititu, who is facing graft allegations.

Nyoro’s move has, however, elicited mixed reactions from different quarters. A resident of the county has since sued him following the changes in the government.

The resident, Bernard Chege Mburu, accused the Deputy of going against the powers accorded to him by the constitution. He also said that the move is likely to cause chaos in the county since Nyoro is not fully in charge of the management of the affairs of the county.

He said that Waituti is likely to consider the move to revise the cabinet if he is given the greenlight to resume operations as the governor.

“The illegal acts of the Deputy Governor will create a stalemate that will gravely affect service delivery to the people of Kiambu especially as one of the dockets affected is Finance,”reads court papers, Citizen Digital.

The voter said that the DG’s move is against the wishes of the people Kiambu since he was not elected.

He has asked the court to stop the Deputy Governor from making any other changes in the government. Waititu is fighting to resume office after he was arrested and charged with graft.
