In a series of tweets on Thursday, Kisiang’ani has said that the BBI team should handover the report to the parliament for implementation.

He argued that the report is bound to fail if the executive is allowed to assume the role of the implementation of the same.

“Given the BBI taskforce report is already with the public, Parliament shud urgently meet to draw up guidelines for discussing the document n for appointing those to preside over public discussions. The Executive shud now give way for parliament to take charge,” Kisiang’ani tweeted.

The political analyst argued that the report will end up in parliament regardless of what happens.

He also opined that Members of Parliament should be involved in addressing the stalemate of the report.

“My point is that whatever we do outside Parliament must n will end up someday in parliament Parliament is the legislative arm of govt. If you allow the process to be driven by the Executive alone, the end product could be rejected by Bunge,” he said in another tweeted.

The implementation of the report has caused a storm among different political factions.
