Suna East Member of Parliament Junet Mohammed has renewed his onslaught against Deputy President William Ruto as the voting continues in Kibra by-election.
In a series of tweets, Junet said that the second in command wanted to bribe all the way to ensure Jubilee candidate McDonald Mariga wins the contest.
He claimed Ruto had no strategy but to bribe voters from the region to ensure they emerge victorious but they have received a shocker.
"DP Ruto’s main strategy in Kibra was bribery and vote buying on Election Day today. He believed, quite unfortunately, that he will have people to bribe. He forgot, at a huge risk to himself, that Kibra is the last line of defence! Now he’s finding out this isn’t Turbo," he tweeted.
He also said that ODM team is on the ground to protect their votes by all means.
"Because the hunters have learned to shoot without missing, we have learnt to fly without perching. My vote protection team and I are ensuring no monkey games happen here. Tuko Tayari. Mbele Pamoja! #ProtectingTheVote," he said.
Junet also claimed that he is aware of some individual who were promised Sh.50,00 each to vote for Mariga.
"The following have been given Ksh 50,000 each at Weston Hotel. We already know you and we already planned reciprocal contingency measure. I urge Kibra voters to stay vigilant. Don’t disturb the peace of Kibra people as they vote. #ProtectingTheVote," he alluded.
