He argued that despite the nation being democratic, the voice of the majority is not heard when it comes to critical decisions such as the election of the President.

He argued that Kibaki received overwhelming support from Kenyans when he was seeking election. The team brought together different leaders including the late Former Vice President Stephen Wamalwa Kijana, ODM Leader Raila Odinga, Narc leader Charity Ngilu, and the late Professor George Saitoti among others.

"The question we need to ask ourselves as Kenyans is, “Which people should we elect into office?” Democracy is the worst form of Government. In the history of Kenyan Presidents only Former President Mwai Kibaki was qualified," he said.

On the succession of President Kenyatta, Makau said that Deputy President William Ruto stands the minimal chance of being endorsed for the seat when that time comes. He asked the DP to reconsider leaving Jubilee so that he can position himself to rise to power following the handshake between Raila and Uhuru.
