A short video clip from a CCTV showing a man alleged to be Embakasi East Member of Parliament Babu Owino shooting another man alleged to be a club DJ has emerged online.
K24TV was the first to share the video through its Twitter handle.
In the video, a man in an orange T-shirt believed to be Babu Owino is seen surrounded by other men at a close range.
The man is then seen firing a gun.
Another man believed to be the victim is also seen being dragged out of the club's elevators.
Director of Criminal Investigations (DCI) George Kinoti earlier said that the lawmaker will be charged with attempted murder.
" It is apparent that he wanted to kill the man,” Kinoti said as quoted by Nation.
A police report seen by Nation says Babu Owino shot the club DJ on the neck before he was rushed to a hospital in critical condition.
“He drew his pistol and shot the DJ in the neck. The victim was rushed to Nairobi Hospital in serious condition by the management of the club,” the report reads in part, according to Nation.
