A few days after Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko dismissed claims of dating socialite-cum-business woman Zari Hassan, the latter has revealed that Sonko is the man she has admired for years.
In a recent Instagram post, Sonko noted that as a politician, he faces many problems including being linked to relationships with different women.
"I swear to God politicians have problems at one point it was Rev Lucy Natasha another time it was Zari. (Haki ya Mungu Wanasiasa tuko na shida mara @revlucynatasha mara @zarithebosslady)," Sonko said as he distanced himself from reports he was dating Zari and flamboyant city pastor, Reverend Lucy Natasha.
However, Zari in a recent radio interview in South Africa said she loves Sonko because he has similar character traits like those of his late husband Ivan Ssemwanga.
Zari said that Sonko is a handsome man with no 'boyish behaviours' and that she has been admiring him for years
"I want to reveal my love for the handsome Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko. He is the man I have secretly admired for a long time. I love this handsome governor because he is a man of impeccable character and passionate convictions. He is not as boyish as the other kid who has been chasing me around," Zari said as quoted by South Africa Jacaranda FM.
Zari further praised Sonko's endless desire to help the poor, adding that her late husband had the same heart.
“If you see Mike, please pass a word to him and tell him someone cares about him. I love this man because despite being powerful, he shares traits with my late beloved husband Ivan who loved to help the poor,” she added.
Zari who is planning to work on a project with Kenyan singer Akothee in December said she will be looking forward to meeting Sonko
