Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino has told Wanyama that the London club is not a charity for free playing minutes, a clear indication the club might consider offloading him to where his services might be needed more.

Speaking to reporters ahead of their weekend game, Pochettino said he bases on performances to select the team.

“It's all about performance. Football is for today and tomorrow, not yesterday. You need always to show that you are there and deserve [to be there]. In the case of Victor, he suffered an injury and another player stepped up and took his place. We are in a team, we are not a charity," he said as quoted by Goal.

Despite the impending exit, a section of Spurs fans are already missing Wanyama's impact at the club. He is yet to feature for the club since the season kicked off three weeks ago.
