Kuria asked  President Uhuru Kenyatta and Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Raila Odinga to retire from active politics.

In a video shared by Daily Nation on Sunday, the MP said that the two leaders should retire from active politics in 2022 for the sake of peace.

He argued that Kenyans are not ready to engage in war with each other because of politics.

Kuria, a perceived ally of Deputy President William Ruto, also alluded that the ODM leader has been one of the main causes of disunity in the country because he never accepts defeat in any election.

"We had been told that BBI when we hold elections we will not have violence. (Tulikuwa tumeambiwa eti BBI tukichaguana hakutakuwa na vita). You dont need that. Although we will pass it. I am telling the president, the only way there will be peace in Kenya is If you and Raila Odinga retire and go home, that is a sure bet," he said in part of the video.

Kuria has also claimed that Nyeri Town Member of Parliament Ngunjiri Wambugu has plans to disrupt Deputy President William Ruto's meeting in Nyeri.

He has asked Interior CS Fred Matiang'i to swing into action before it is too late.
