Writing on Twitter on Monday, Ole Kiyiapi expressed his reservations about the BBI report.

He claimed in his tweet that the report did not offer a path towards the achievement of national peace and a united, inclusive and progressive country.

According to the former Moi University don, the report is marred by the usual political intrigues.

"I support serious efforts at achieving long term national peace and a unified, inclusive and progressive society. BBI Report as it stands offers no new FUNDAMENTALS to that end. At play are political intrigues, maneuvers and unnecessary contention, the same usual tactics!" the tweet read.

The BBI report was unveiled to the public by President Uhuru Kenyatta over two weeks ago at the Bomas of Kenya.

Kenyans have been urged to make a point of keenly reading the report so as to make informed decisions on whether to support it or oppose it.

Politicians have been trading strong words in the public over how the document should be adopted with a section urging a referendum while another urges it to be condensed into a bill and taken to parliament for debate.

Former prime minister Raila Odinga has expressed his opposition to parliamentary adoption insisting that the report should be taken to the people.
