An elected Member of County Assembly (MCA) in Kisii County has condemned the killing of two girls in Omobondo village, Kenyenya Sub-County.
Bokimonge Ward MCA Amos Onderi said it is sad that the village lost two innocent young girls in the brutal killings.
"I am yet to understand why the killers decided to kill the innocent girls. Even if it was revenge, God will never forgive the killers. Diana and Stephany had a bright future which was terminated prematurely by the killers," said the vocal ward rep on Wednesday.
Mr Onderi warned locals against involving kids in grudges, saying children should be spared from differences which arise among adults.
The MCA urged police officers to do everything possible to ensure the bereaved family gets justice.
"It is sad that the innocent girls died in pain since the killers raped them before killing them. The motive of the brutal killing must be known," he stated.
He reiterated the need for parents to always ensure the safety of their children whenever the kids have been left at home alone, adding that enemies may take advantage of the parents' absence to hurt innocent children.
Diana and Stephany were found murdered in their home on Wednesday evening.
