World 800 metres record holder David Rudisha has broken his silence after being involved in a road accident.
The athlete has said that he is doing well after his V8 engine Toyota’s tyre burst near Keroka town.
The bus hit an Ena Coach bus head on before losing control. The incident occurred at the black spot along the Kisii-Keroka highway at around 10.30pm.
Rudisha's vehicle was badly damaged during the incident. The athlete has since thanked his fans after he survived the accident. He also appreciated the Good Samaritans who assisted him during the incident.
The athlete, who made the country proud on several occasions, further said that he escaped from the scene of the crime unhurt after the horrific incident took place.
“I am well and unhurt from this morning's accident. Thank you for your prayers and concern... A special thank you to the other road users who rushed to the scene to help me out of the car after the incident!” he said.
The incident comes months after his wife raised concern over family affairs.
The athlete has been missing in action for months. Kenyans from different parts of the nation have wished him quick recovery after he was involved in the accident.
