In a tweet on his handle, Tabichi revealed what the agenda of the high profile meeting was.

He was filled in on the work that the tech company is doing to support science in Africa.

"As a leading tech company, it was good to learn about ⁦@GoogleForEdu⁩’s work in supporting science in #Africa - with partnerships, we, too, can leapfrog and achieve the true potential of Africa’s youths. We have a lot to do, so let’s give our 100% to this cause, " the tweet read.

Tabichi, who was feted this year as the world's best teacher, has been on a tour of the United States whose climax was meeting President Donald Trump.

His story of giving away 80 per cent of his salary won him the award, catapulting him to global fame.

Thanks to his exemplary work at a secondary school in Pwani village Nakuru County, his students featured in national and international science competitions.

"Everyday in Africa we turn a new page and a new chapter. Today is another day. This prize does not recognize me but recognizes this great continent's young people, " Tabichi told the foundation that awarded him the world's best teacher award.
