Kenyan social media users have expressed displeasure over Moi University administration's decision to direct students in their second and third years of study to vacate the hostels.

The move by the Kesses based university comes shortly after the students staged a demonstration which turned ugly leading to the closure of the university.

Taking to twitter under #somebodytellmoiuniversity , Kenyans on Twitter (KOT) expressed their distate and disapointment over the decision. 

The school further directed resumption of classes for students in their first, fourth and fifth years of study as from Tuesday.

The netiznes claimed the decision by the university to exclude the a section of the students was unjust and discriminatory. 

They called upon the ministry of education to intervene in the case claiming that the university was mistreating te students.

A number of the netizens further complained over the long duration taken for the students at the university to complete a four year course. 

They pointed out that is is such exclusion of students from session that compiles to the long duration.

Some of the KOT also came to the defense of the student leaders who were expelled for allegedly planning the demonstration.
