Writing on twitter after the African Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier in Alexandria Egypt, the Kashiwa Reysol forward congratulated the whole team for a great performance.

He also expressed his gratitude to God for scoring the goal that stunned the Egyptians who thought that somehow the game would be a smooth ride.

"Good Fight Team God above all🙏Always Glory to you God 🙏, " Olunga wrote on Facebook.

Thanks to his goal, the Stars left Egypt with a point after sharing spoils with the hosts.

The next Harambee Stars match will be played at the Moi International Sports Centre (MISC) on Monday next week against Togo.

Nick Mwendwa, the president of the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) has issued a battle cry, calling on Kenyans to come out in their numbers when the Harambee Stars take on Togo.

In an exclusive interview with Royal Media Services-owned Citizen Television this week, Mr Mwendwa said that he had to organise for Olunga to travel in the business class to Cairo.

The money that was used to purchase the business class tickets cost over 800,000 shillings and it seems it was not for nothing as Olunga proved critical in the Alexandria match.
