Kiambu County Assembly Speaker Stephen Ndicho is walking a tightrope after Members of the County Assembly unveiled plans to impeach him with immediate effect.

The MCAs have now said that the speaker is unfit to hold office and they want him replaced as soon possible. The lawmakers have accused to Ndicho of fraud and abuse of office. 

The stand of the MCAs comes two weeks after they kicked out Majority Leader Antony Ikonya alongside Chief Whip James Mburu. 

The legislators have already started to collect signatures to send the Speaker home. They have noted that they will soon table a motion to see the speaker send packing.

The MCAs claim that the speaker has been looting millions of money from the county assembly through false pretense and they want him fired as soon as possible before he messes with the lives of the local residents. 

The speaker has, however, denied claims of abuse of office. He insisted that the move of the MCAs amounts to political witch-hunt. He has also promised to deal with the MCAs rooting for his impeachment. 

Ndicho reportedly received Sh323, 898 visit Manufacturing Company in China named Shandong Henry Machinery for purposes of inspection but he never disclosed the same.
