A video of President Magufuli was uploaded on YouTube, the largest video sharing platform, on July 18 and has since gained popularity not only in Tanzania but also in Kenya.
In the video shared by J WEE info, President Magufuli was leading a fund-drive in one of the schools in Tanzania when he started picking on each and every present member in his government to move forward and give his or contribution.
The most hilarious part is when he turned to his own bodyguard and forced him to contribute.
"Who else? And you, you have stood at my back for so long, how much are you contributing? (Nani mwingine? Na wewe muda kwenye mgogo wangu, unachangia ngapi?), Magufuli posed a question which forced his bodyguard into his pocket.
The General contributed Tsh100,000 which is about Ksh5000. The president forced him to pay in cash and instantly.
Magufuli then turned to the audience with his bodyguard challenge and forced almost all key figures including preachers, to contribute for the fund-drive.
The fund-drive ended up with a total of Tsh6,320, 000 which is about Sh316,000.
