Interior Cabinet Secretary Dr Fred Matiang'i is not equal to Deputy President William Ruto based on development performance, Kisii Woman Representative Janet Ong'era has said.
Speaking on Saturday in Kisii town, the legislator maintained that Matiang'i cannot be compared with DP Ruto whose work is to engage in politics day and night.
"Matiang'i has brought a lot of changes in every docket. He has been appointed to lead. He brought several changes in the education sector when he served as the education minister between 2013 and 2017 and now he is doing a tremendous job in the Interior docket," Ong'era said.
The Woman Rep also said the CS is trusted by President Uhuru Kenyatta to the extent that he was named to supervise national government development projects.
"Kenya will head in the right direction if we have people like Matiang'i being the president in 2022. We cannot afford to have greedy people to succeed Mr Kenyatta in 2022 with an intention of accumulating wealth to benefit their own families while Kenyans are suffering in abject poverty," Ong'era said.
