This was revealed in a statement on Monday by the firm.

The Kenyan perished alongside other passengers in the Ethiopian Airlines Flight 302 crash that claimed the lives of all its passengers.

“Today, we have added an additional case for a passenger from Kenya who died in the Ethiopian Airlines Flight 302 crash. Our clients are seeking more than a billion US dollars for their damages. Next week we will file and an additional case for a family from Egypt, " Manuel Von Ribeck of Ribeck Chartered Law said on Monday.

According to Manuel Von Ribeck, 40 lawsuits have been filed by Ribeck Chartered Law at a Federal Court in Chicago on behalf of the victims of the Boeing 737 Max 8 crashes.

The firm, whose forte is litigation related to aviation disasters, will be seeking $1 billion compensation for the victims of the crashes in a bid to hold Boeing accountable for the fatal crashes.

Also involved in the lawsuits against Boeing is Global Aviation Law Group.

It was found after investigations that problems with the 737 Max 8 caused the Lion Air and Ethiopian Airlines crashes, prompting scrutiny of the model.

An uproar in the aviation industry forced the model to be grounded.

The crashes have plunged the US aerospace giant into public confidence and financial crisis.
