Police in Elburgon, Nakuru County are holding a woman accused of murdering her husband in one of the local drinking joints within Elburgon Town.
The 34-year-old woman reportedly pounced on her husband Benson Chege who is a waiter at the bar and stabbed him on the shoulder with a butcher's knife, killing him on the spot.
The incident occurred at around 11pm on Monday. The suspect who is said to have been drunk at the time allegedly went to a nearby butchery where she got the knife before stabbing her husband.
According to the deceased's sisters, the two had been involved in a scuffle before the incident.
They said that their brother had already passed on by the time they were informed of the matter and got to the scene.
The deceased's siblings later reported the matter at the Elburgon Police Station, Citizen Digital reports.
This comes only a few months after another woman killed her husband in the same manner in Gilgil, within the same county.
The couple had been involved in a marital wrangle before the wife grabbed a kitchen knife and stabbed the man.
