The Kenya National Men Basketball team popularly known as 'Morans' are through to the semi-finals of the ongoing inaugural AfroCan Basketball Championship in Bamako, Mali.

The Morans, on Wednesday night edged out Tunisia in a tightly contested match, winning 82-76 to proceed to the semi-finals of the AfroCan competitions. 

Tunisia had led the Morans in both the first two quarters. However, things turned west against them in the third quarter. They won the third quarter by 10 points. This huge win overturned Tunisia's first and second quarter wins by seven points. 

However, in the fourth quarter, Tunisia came back to win again. It led Kenya with 22-15. This meant the two teams drew at regular time in the high spirit match. 

They had to play an extra time for a winner to be found. 

It was through the extra time that Kenya managed to edge past Tunisia to make it to the semi-finals of the AfroCan. 

Morans captain, Griffin Ligare was the man of the match. Being the point guard, he managed to win 22 points for the Morans. This was the highest number of points by a single player.

Kenya's journey to the semi-finals has not been an easy one. They won narrowly against Ivory Coast to proceed to the quarter-finals. 

On Tuesday, Kenyan edged passed Ivory Coast at 85-83 in an epic match.
