The Kisii Governor James Ongwae who went hunting in Israel for his county residents has finally found a 'prey' which he will use to improve people's lives. This is after he called upon the National Government to invest in solar and wind power which is more cheaper and environment-friendly.

Being his fifth day in Israel after he went to attend Eilat-Eilot International Energy conference, Ongwae on Thursday requested the Government through the Ministry of Energy, to give foreigners a chance to invest in Green Energy in Kenya that is cheaper and cleaner.

He also urged the government to invest in Solar Energy than the unreliable hydro-power energy that has proofed to have many challenges that can never be curbed.

"We request the Government through the Ministry of Energy to accept extra investments from foreigners in order to curb the escalating electricity demands in the country," Ongwae said.

"We want to eliminate industrial use of wood fuel in Kisii, especially in tea factory by our county government,  through investing in solar power and wind power." He added.

Many Israel Energy companies have decided to invest in Kenya to deal with the unreliable electricity in the country. The president of Gigawatt Global Yosef Abramowitz also said they are ready to set their energy projects in the country.

"We want to explore Africa, especially in Kenya with our projects. We understand the situation in Kenya and we have a way to go." Said Yosef Abramowitz.
