Some of the locals who spoke after Justice Erastus Githinji delivered a ruling setting aside the High Court decision to annul Bowen's win in the August 8 poll termed the decision as compromised.

"As voters from Marakwet East we are not happy with the Court of Appeal ruling since the elections were married with massive irregularities and we will not accept the ruling whatsoever," said Benedict Cheboi, a local.

The locals noted that it was clear the elections in the constituency were not conducted within the set election laws and regulations.

They called for the investigations of the judgement and the judges who heard and delivered the ruling.

"We read malice in his judgement and his conduct must be looked into since we feel he was compromised to rule in Kangogo Bowen's favour," added another local.

Sammy Kemboi who had successfully filed a petition against the Jubilee MP who has since been branded a rebel on his part said the ruling was weird.

He, however, pointed out that he will consult will his lawyers before making a decision on their next course of action.

Other locals who spoke in Eldoret town further said they do not recognize Kangogo as the duly elected MP.

They, however, asked other residents in the constituency to remain calm and not to engage in any other illegal activity following the Court of Appeal ruling.
