Mutua had lunch with his staff before he went to Machakos People’s Park where he mingled with residents and Kenyans from across the nation.

The second term governor took to social media where he shared how he interacted with the public after lunch.

The meeting comes after he won the contest against his political rival, former Kathiani MP Wavinya Ndeti, at the Supreme Court.

The win places him at the helm of the county until 2022.

“After Christmas lunch with my folks in Machakos, I visited the Machakos People’s Park where I have had great moments with wananchi. I met Wananchi who had come from as far as Nairobi, Embu, Nakuru, Murang'a and even Kisii to enjoy Christmas in Machakos,” Mutua wrote on his social media account.

Mutua invited Kenyans to tour his county during this festive season with their families.

"I invite you from wherever you are to visit us in Machakos County and enjoy the beautiful sites we have prepared for you this festive season," Mutua posted on his Facebook page.
