Njeri who resigned on Tuesday after being switched to the Trade docket says that the county is being run like a 'personal kiosk' by the governor, accusing him of manipulation.

In a press conference Thursday, Njeri claimed that Waititu has seen to it that there is no independence in the ministries, thanks to his interference.

She said that life has become hell for most officers, considering that most of the instructions coming from Waititu's office are illegal, the Finance Ministry being a victim.

“The Finance department is the custodian of all county public properties. Many of the properties, which include staff houses and quarries, have been transferred to private individuals. We cannot work this way,” she said.

She also claimed that Waititu has been verbally employing people without following the right procedures, and now wants President Uhuru Kenyatta to save his home county.

She said that 'all is not well' in the county, and wants Uhuru and his government agencies to step in and "rescue it from an imminent collapse."

Njeri resigned for the second time in two weeks after a fallout with the county boss but was reinstated after producing a memorandum of understanding between them.

She has since tendered in her resignation letter alongside Director of Accounting Services his deputy and three accountants.

She argues that the county is in for it should things continue being run as is the case currently.
