Deputy President, William Ruto, has urged all Kenyans to build bridges of unity in order to eliminate negative ethnicity and division.

In his speech during the 56th Mashujaa Day celebrations in Nyayo National Stadium, Ruto urged all Kenyans to maintain unity as the country celebrates the freedom that was achieved by the founding fathers. 

“Let us build bridges of unity and eliminate negative ethnicity and divisions to be able to forge the largest transformation in our history," he urged.

Ruto assured Kenyan he is confident that through the acceleration of the Big Four agenda, every Kenyan will have something to be proud of.

He also promised youths that they are going to get jobs through the developing of the manufacturing sector, agro-processing and the housing programme.

"I am confident that accelerating from the Big Four [agenda], we will ensure that every Kenyan has a decent meal."

Some of the leaders present at the fete were Mia Mottley, Prime Minister of Barbados, Raila Odinga, Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka, ANC party leader Musalia Mudavadi, among others.
