Through his Facebook post, Kinuthia noted that he held a successful interview with the radio station.

"After trending top tweets, BBC World Service radio in London gave me a call asking for an interview from me in regards to why am trending. My story of encouragement will be hitting the airwaves across the world in 2hrs time. Stay tuned and be blessed for the continued support," he said.

Mr Kinuthia came into the limelight on Monday night when covering the arrest of Kiharu Member of Parliament Ndindi Nyoro.

This was his time to feature in such a big assignment.

He fell under criticism over his poor reporting. Netizens came out in large numbers on social media to shame him over his poor English language and hustle to construct good English sentences.

His repetition of words was also a major area of laughter from his haters.

At various instances, he could be seen fixing his earpiece.

Many accused him of poor preparation yet he works for a big media house.

However, top journalists from Citizen media house came out to encourage him.
