They say a guest comes so that the host may benefit. The arrival of President Uhuru Kenyatta has brought a lot of goodies to Kisii County residents.  The President was in Kisii County today to launch medical infrastructures and equipments at the Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital.

The Head of the Country promised to allocate more funds for the completion and improvement of Gusii stadium. 

“I want Gusii Stadium to host a celebration of a national holiday one day in the near future,” said Kenyatta.

Uhuru revealed that Kisii County will be among the beneficiaries of establishment of Cancer Treatment Centres. Cancer Treatment Centres or Chemotherapy Centres will enable treatment of cancer. This is in amid to curb the disease that is ailing a lot of people in the nation. Ten centres will be established in Kenya.

The President guaranteed the residents that Suneka Airstrip will be completed before the end of the year.

The Head of the National Government also assured the inhabitants of Kisii County to work together with the Kenya Tea Development Agency (KTDA) in ensuring construction of two tea factories, one in Kisii and another in Nyamira County.

Kenyatta also pledged to oversee payments to coffee farmers once the ongoing audit in the Coffee Framing Sector is completed.
