The battle lines of an ensuing fight between National Assembly Majority Leader Adan Duale and fiery Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria have been drawn.

Seemingly, the only remaining thing is to wait and see who will start to fire the first shot.

What promises to be an ugly battle of wits started when Duale on Monday threatened to have Kuria removed from all house committees that he is a member, accusing him of going against the party guidelines and challenging the party leadership.

Though Jubilee Secretary General Raphael Tuju has come out to deny there are such plans, Kuria and Duale seem to be spoiling for a bigger fight.

Appearing on Citizen TV's JKL show on Wednesday, Kuria was clear that the battle was far from over, telling Duale whom he described as 'being full of himself', to make good his threat and initiate the process of ejecting him from the said committees.

"I serve in those house committees courtesy of the party leadership which Duale is part of. If the party leadership decides that my services are no longer required in those committees, then I have no say about it," said Kuria.

He added: "But as Duale does this, he should remember that his leadership of the majority in the house is not dictated by the party leadership but by members. I will challenge him in that position if I am ejected from the committees and I can tell you he has no chances."

The MP said that he has stood with Duale previously when Jubilee MPs in the National Assembly wanted to remove him on many occasions.

So, who is going to carry the day between the two Jubilee political heavyweights who are widely known to have uncompromising stands if the status quo remains? Only time can tell!
