The former Gichugu MP and Kirinyaga gubernatorial hopeful dismissed claims that she had endorsed the DP for the top job on Tuesday.

"That is true!I hold the view that @WilliamsRuto is the least qualified for the job and as such would never endorse him. His campaign should desist from dragging my name along."https://twitter.com/MarthaKarua/status/1062400092685131777?s=19.

Prior to 2017 polls, Karua changed tune and backed President Uhuru Kenyatta together with DP William Ruto only to make a U-turn after elections she lost to Ann Waiguru.

At a past rally, Karua once linked Ruto and Uhuru to 2007 post election violence and even asked ICC to have them jailed.

"This country is not ready for people facing murder charges at the international court. That will be the worst decision Kenyans will ever make," she had said.

Ruto is keen to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta and has lately pitched tent at populous Mt Kenya region despite growing rebellion from local leaders.
