The comedian is currently working as a radio presenter at Milele FM, and made the declaration on Wednesday morning, during the Kivumbi political show segment.

He was speaking when the show hosted Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Secretary General Edwin Sifuna, revealing that he is a member of the party and will vie on its ticket.

"Mimi ni mwanachama mkubwa wa ODM, nitasimama Lang'ata (I am a staunch supporter of ODM and I will vie in Lang'ata)," he said.

Elsewhere, his co-host Alex Mwakideu indirectly hinted at vying for the Wundanyi parliamentary seat, after Sifuna repeatedly referred to him as 'Mheshimiwa' (Honorable).

However, he did not go deeper into the matter, only thanking Sifuna for calling him the next Member of Parliament for the constituency.

"Asante kwa kuniita mheshimiwa (Thanks for calling me honorable)," he said, after which Sifuna responded "Tunajua wewe ni mheshimiwa mtarajiwa wa Wundanyi (We know you are the next Wundanyi MP)."

This comes at a time when political temperatures in the country are already on the rise, three years to the much anticipated polls.
