Speaking on Saturday after a fracas that saw scores of people injured, the flamboyant governor called on all those with court eviction orders to take them first to the county offices before any action is taken.

He said that this was aimed at confirming whether or not the eviction orders are genuine or not and not ensure that his administration has an opportunity to make an input.

"We have agreed that all court orders should be served to our offices so that we do a clarification whether they are genuine or fake so that we can establish whether there is any injustice, " the visibly incensed governor said.

The Nairobi governor confronted armed hoodlums who had been sent allegedly by a private developer identified as Pato.

Sonko has in the past taken on private developers evicting people from land.

In February, he stopped a private developer from building property on land owned by Lavington Primary School.

The governor of Nairobi has a well-documented record of taking on private developers in the county that harkens back to when he was the Member of Parliament for Makadara Constituency.
