Embakasi East Member of Parliament Paul Ongili, popularly known as Babu Owino has now come out to applaud President Uhuru Kenyatta for nominating Professor Magoha as the Education Cabinet Secretary.
Taking to his twitter account on Friday, the outspoken legislator, who has been against some decision made by the Head of State took in the past, said that nominating the former Vice Chancellor of the University of Nairobi as the Education CS was a score for Uhuru.
“The best decision President Uhuru wa Kenyatta made this year was to nominate professor George Albert Omore Magoha as the cabinet secretary Education,” said the vocal MP.
Professor Magoha was appointed by Uhuru Kenyatta as the Chairman of the Kenya National Examination Council in 2016.
The former Students Organisation of the Nairobi University (SONU) chairman shared a video while in the Parliament in Nairobi praising Professor Magoha.
“Professor Magoha, as I can say is a professor who means what he says and says what he means. As the longest serving student’s leader on earth, I served for three terms under Prof Magoha’s regime, and I can say that this is a professor who gives students an opportunity. He gives a second chance for somebody to make his/her life,” said Babu Owino.
He went on to give crucial reasons why Professor Magoha will be the best Education CS.
