Everything is said to have been set up for Joyce Waithera and her fiance Paul Waithaka’s big day at the church on Saturday.

the couple arrived, they were reportedly summoned to the church’s office where they were ordered to go for HIV and pregnancy tests to allow pastor Jesse Karanja to officiate their vows.

however ensued as the pastor demanded several tests, three. The couple had done two different tests in clinics of their choice and the tests turned negative.

The pastor demanded the third test at a clinic of his choice.

Shockingly, tests at the clinic turned positive for the bride.

The tests showed she was HIV positive and pregnant.

It was now late in the evening and the pastor said based on the results of the tests, he was not in a position to officiate the wedding.

Hell broke loose when the couple faced the man of God demanding that things go on as the status was their issue.

The pastor refused and left the church compound.

Embarrassed, the couple also left in a hush leaving guests to enjoy the food that had been prepared for the ceremony.

A family member of the groom said the pastor had ‘his issues’.

"There is something he is hiding. Where was he as the wedding plans went on? If he wants the bride let him say but should not subject people to all this. We are very hurt as a family,” the family member said.
