Moi University's freshers' night went down successfully on Friday night, of course with a little disappointment of Khaligraph Jones and Dufla not showing up.
The artists that had initially been lined up to perform included Khaligraph Jones, Dufla, Kenrazy and Sosuun. Khaligraph and Dufla, however, did not show up for the event hence disappointing a large number of students.
"The event was extremely good and had a lot of fun although most of us were expecting to see Khaligraph Jones and Dufla perform. The two artists have great energy on stage and are currently on the top of chats on the Kenyan entertainment scene," Kevin Kimama, a second-year student who had attended the event said.
According to a close source, the amount of money that Khaligraph had asked to be paid was way too high.
The source also revealed that Kenrazy and his wife Sosuun were paid a total sum of around Sh65,000. This amount is however small especially for such two great artists who have been on the entertainment scene for a very long time.
Earlier, the two artists had performed at Cloud 9 Lounge club in Eldoret town before proceeding to the Kesses-based university.
That having been said, the two rappers killed it on stage with a great performance.
