Nairobi's Milimani Chief Magistrate Francis Andayi postponed the ruling to Tuesday next week.

The magistrate was expected to deliver the ruling today but said it was not ready.

The five suspects, Charles Mberesero, Mohamed Ali Abdikadir, Hassan Aden Hassan, Sahal Diriye and Osman Abdi were charged in 2015 with 150 counts of terrorism.

In his submission on the case to answer, the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) through Prosecution Counsel Duncan Ondimu asked the trial court to put the accused persons on their defense.

Ondimu told the trial magistrate that the prosecution has proved a prima-facie case against the five suspects.

The prosecutor further told the court that circumstantial evidence against the five accused persons is too strong.

He recommended death sentences should the five be found guilty of the terror charges.

One hundred and forty-seven (147) students lost their lives and many others got injured during the April 2, 2015 deadly terror attack at Garissa University College.

The attack was condemned by leaders across the world and saw the government heighten security at the university and the larger Northern Kenya region.
