On Monday, Uhuru nominated Otachi Bw'Omanwa, one of his closest confidant as National Lands Commission, making another milestone in appointment.

Before that, he had appointed lawyer Ken Ogeto as Solicitor General, a job previously held by his closest ally Njee Muturi, now Deputy Chief of Staff.

Also, Uhuru retained Dr Fred Matiang'i and Susan Mochache in government as Cabinet Secretary and Principal Secretary  respectively.

The team had played a vital role in making Kisii and Nyamira Counties swing regions in 2017, despite having been strongholds of Raila Odinga.

Already, people like Charles Nyachae Patrick Osero and many more are serving in various positions given their efforts to help Uhuru retain power.

But despite efforts, former MPs Walter Nyambati and Joseph Kiangoi, are still in cold, with no indications that they will be absorbed to government.

Nyambati, who helped coordinate campaigns in the region, lost narrowly to Governor John Nyagarama. He also had his final petition dismissed by Supreme Court.

Also, Kiangoi, a former ally of Raila Odinga, lost Senatorial race to Okong'o Mogeni, another close ally of opposition leader Raila Odinga. He is yet to get an appointment.
