Speaking in Wajir Town on Monday, Gedi said the gubernatorial petition has caused divisions in the county and it is upon Governor Abdi to bring residents together.

She warned that the county will not achieve its development agenda if the county boss fails to unite the leaders and the people.

"The Supreme Court made its final decision and it is the duty of the governor to bring everyone on board and spearhead unity," Gedi said.

The Wajir woman rep warned politicians using the Supreme Court verdict to spew hatred among residents.

She claimed that some politicians serving their own interests are allegedly inciting residents against Governor Abdi’s administration.

The Wajir gubernatorial verdict continues to elicit reactions among residents and leaders.

The apex court validated Governor Abdi’s election on grounds that he was elected fairly.

The governor has since extended an olive branch to his rivals, saying he is ready to work with everyone for the sake of Wajir people.
