Nyamira County electorates voted for a failure as governor, a Jubilee youth leader has said.
Isaac Motari, a Jubilee youth Secretary General in Kisii County said Nyamiraa Governor John Nyagarama won't develop Nyamira County.
"I am having mercy on the people of Nyamira because they elected a failure as their governor. The locals should have to suffer until 2022 when they will make another choice," he said on Sunday in Kisii town.
Mr. Motari said the people of Nyamira elected Nyagarama because of the ODM party which was sponsoring him.
"The people of Nyamira voted for a party and not a leader. It is time they should blame themselves not to repeat the same mistake come 2022," he stated.
He urged elected MCAs in Nyamira not to allow the ODM governor to mismanage public funds meant for development.
The vocal youth leader who has declared interest to vie for Bonchari MP seat in 2022 said youths should come out to take up leadership roles in this country.
"2022 is the right time for youths to take up leadership for the elderly leaders to rest and enjoy pension," added Mr. Motari.
