Flamboyant businessman and politician Steve Mbogo has hit out at Senator Sakaja amid criticism of his presence at Dusit on Tuesday.
In an interview with Jalang'oo and Alex Mwakideu, Mbogo said that leaders who were criticising him like Senator Sakaja had lost their mind.
"I am surprised to see leaders criticising me. I think they have lost their mind like Senator Sakaja who went on television to say that I went to take pictures, " Mbogo fired.
The former student leader was roundly pilloried by Kenyans on social media for using the terror attack to take photos.
He said that he was a victim of terrorism at Westgate and was motivated by a genuine desire to help.
Suspected Al-Shabaab militants unleashed terror on Tuesday at the DusitD2 hotel and managed to kill at least 21 innocent people according to the government.
Arrests have been made in the wake of the dastardly attack as the government seeks to bring to justice all those involved.
