The commission has now said that 32 TTCs across the nation risk closure for failing to meet the required standard of operations.

The commission has since put the management of the institutions on notice to comply with the requirements of the education sector failure to which they will be locked out of the field with immediate effect.

The commission has asked the principals of the institutions in questions to address the challenges they are facing failure to which they will be forced to surrender the students to Universities for their training.

TSC Chief Executive Officer Nancy Macharia  queried why the students have been performing so poorly yet they are expected to have an impact on the lives of others at the end of the day.

She noted that the Ministry will soon unveil a policy to lock out poor performers from school.

“Why do we have low grades in your exams and a decline in enrolment? I am worried because the Ministry of Education is coming up with a policy that will be training these people at diploma level. If enrolment starts declining, most students will want to go to the university,” she said, as quoted by Daily Nation.
