A 30-year-old woman is nursing serious injuries after being stabbed 17 times by her husband.
The woman, Peninah Wangechi, claims her husband Samuel Ndirangu descended and stabbed her following a disagreement.
The couple, who are blessed with three children, have been at loggerheads for months now over several issues before the man decided to commit the act.
The woman said that the father of her children had threatened to kill her but she never took him seriously until the worst happened.
“He has threatened to kill me many times, but I have never taken him seriously,” she said, as quoted by Standard.
Wangechi revealed they had asked their parents to intervene in their families wrangles before he decided to attack he as the man had also demanded that she leaves her clerical job.
The neighbours swung into action and took her to the hospital after the husband stabbed living her for death.
According to Hospital Medical Superintendent Benson Ngari, the woman’s health is at risk after she lost a lot of blood. She also said that the woman had sustained wounds all over her body.
She noted that the woman needs urgent treatment. Karatina OCPD James Baraza confirmed that incident saying that the suspect has been arrested.
