Diamond Platnumz's step-sister Queen Darleen's husband, Isihaka, on Thursday, opened up about his new marriage and how his first wife reacted to his decision. Isihaka married 'Kijuso' hit-maker, Queen Darleen, in an Islamic wedding in last week.
However, on Thursday, the couple was hosting their family members in their new home at Mbezi Beach in Dar es Salaam.
It had earlier been speculated that his first wife fainted and collapsed on learning that her husband was marrying a second wife, Queen Darleen.
However, while talking to Bongo Five TV, Isihaja refuted the claims. He said his first wife gave him the go-ahead to marry the second wife.
More so, he noted that, besides the first wife giving him a-go-ahead signal, he feels there is jealousy in the family.
"I followed all Islamic laws, I told her and she said it was fine, my first wife is so much into religion and this (second marriage) was not hard for her to decide, it is not the way people are saying that she fainted, she is fine, of course, there is jealousy but at the end of the day, she knows the religion. (nimefata sheria zote nikamwambia akasema sawa, inshallah, mke wa kwanza ni mtu wa dini sana, so hili jambo kwake halikua ghumu, sio kama watu wanavyosema sijui kazimia, yuko poa, of course wivu upo lakini mwisho wa siku anajua dini)," he said.
Islamic marriage law allows a man to marry up to four wives so long as he asks for permissions from first wife.
