Ijara MP Sophia Abdi Noor has heaped praise on a brave taxi driver who drove terrorists to a police station in Garissa.

The MP says that the patriotic taxi driver deserves recognition and praise.

Speaking to journalists in Ijara Town on Tuesday, the MP said that the taxi driver's patriotic action saved lives.

"The taxi driver's action is commendable and Kenyans should emulate him to enable the government to win the war against terrorism," the MP said.

Noor asked Kenyans to remain vigilant and volunteer information that will lead to the arrest of terror agents and their sympathisers.

The Ijara MP spoke as anti-terror police are said to have pitched camp in the constituency and other parts of North Eastern region.

On Saturday, a taxi driver, Osman Shue is said to have driven two suspected terrorists to a police station.

The driver says he became suspicious of the individuals after they asked him to change direction.

On Monday, anti-terror police arrested three more suspects in Ijara and Hagadera market as the hunt for more DusitD2 attackers intensifies.
