Angry students had earlier taken to the streets demanding justice for the deceased and clear investigation by the police.

The school management was left with no option but to release the students to go home until further notice as the police officers launched an investigation into the murder case.

Through a letter seen by Hivisasa dated February 18, 2019, and signed by the college principal C. Koech, the students were instructed to leave the school until further notice.

"Due to students’ unrest arising from an assault by a male student. It has become necessary to close the institution until further notice. You are hereby asked to vacate the institution immediately,” reads the letter.

The incident comes a few days after the election of students' leaders at the institution and is suspected to be as a result of a disagreement between the two students who were in love.

Reports indicate that efforts to save the life of the lady were unsuccessful as she was pronounced dead on arriving at the hospital.
