Nandi County Senator Samson Cherargei has now branded the Director of Public Prosecution Noordin Haji as the ‘Director of political prosecution’
He now says Haji is being used to target politicians who support Deputy President William Ruto.
“If the DPP has been serious in his work, 50 people in Solai died 18 months down the line. People have not been charged in Naivasha Court. At the same time, Ruaraka land scandal has not been handled, why is the DPP not prosecuting the two cases and only concentrating on politicians?" asked the Nandi Senator.
Cherargei who spoke to the press in Eldoret town on Monday said the DPP is playing PR so just to whip up emotions.
“The DPP should stop being the 'Director of Political Prosecution' and retain the constitutionality that has been given to him as the Director of Public Prosecution. He should not allow himself to be used by politicians,” added the Deputy allied senator.
